This blog post examines how COVID-19 is affecting first-generation college students and what questions higher education professionals need to consider. With the closures of many campuses and in-person facilities, many first-generation students, especially those with intersectional low-income identities, face issues with housing, transportation, food security, employment, health, and transitioning to online learning.
