This journal article presents data related to the incidence and prevalence of burnout in nurses. It discusses the root causes of the burnout in nurses and impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. With increasing demands placed on frontline nurses during the COVID-19 pandemic, these findings suggest an urgent need for solutions to address burnout among nurses.
