This article dicusses the Healthiest Cities and Counties Challenge, a funding opportunity that strives to fund multisector work differently to better support local efforts to advance health equit. It also includes a series of general recommendations for funders on how to better foster successful multisector initiatives to tackle social determinants of health and improve health equity in communities of color.
