80 full-time AmeriCorps members will perform public health-related direct service and capacity-building activities in New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) developments and with nonprofit partners. The AmeriCorps members will help increase the health, knowledge, and condition for NYCHA residents as well as increase the effectiveness, efficiency, and program outreach at the program’s host sites.
