Description

Historic investments in the public health infrastructure over the pandemic created opportunities to expand and diversify the public health workforce. Innovative solutions emerged at the federal level, such as Public Health AmeriCorps, and at state and local health departments.

With a new generation of energized workers recruited through these efforts, our public health system can better address the needs of all communities and advance equitable health outcomes.

Join us to learn about the impact of these initiatives so far — and what’s possible long term with continued investment. Hear from recipients of the funds, those who championed and developed these programs, and public health leaders as they reflect on successes, challenges and lessons learned.
